Year 6 Rainforest Day

Year 6 have had a brilliant, fun packed day today. Dave visited us to tell us all about the Amazon rainforest. We learnt a bit about the tribes that live there; the creatures that live there and his experiences when visiting this part of the world.

The children had an opportunity to hold some of the creatures that Dave talked about; sketch some of the creatures; make a beaded necklace and have their arms or faces painted.

A great day was had by all and the one thing that we took away from Dave’s visit is that we need to cherish and look after the rainforests and protect both the people and animals that live there.
