Another action packed week in Churchill class!

On Monday we visited the well-being space at Weston Favell Primary School.  There were a range of activities designed to help us reflect on our achievements, hopes and fears.  Particular favourites were making a friendship bracelet, the forgiveness stones and folding an origami hopes boat.  Behaviour, concentration and engagement were excellent amongst all four groups of children.

Throughout the week we have continued to build our portfolio of writing based around the book ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom.’  This week has involved being on a boat in a storm before we wrote a description interwoven with dialogue.

On Thursday the Year 6 children were complimented once again on their great behaviour as they ran the KS1 Sport’s Morning: great leadership skills and team work were demonstrated.  Some children were ‘factfinders’ and went to investigate the local Secondary Schools before feeding back to the rest of the class.

Overall an action-packed and enjoyable week.  The next one brings a theatrical visit to Abbeyfield, starting our transition work for secondary schools and our PSHE unit ‘Changes’.
