Paddington Class began their first forest school session in Year 1 on Friday and we had a lot of fun! The forest has changed a lot since the summer term so we began by looking at all the things that were different and discussed how this was due to the seasons changing. Lots of the leaves had changed colour and were beginning to fall from the trees, it was also a lot colder than when the children were in Reception so we discussed why this was.
The children had time to explore the forest and many found bugs hidden underneath bark or stumps. Lots of the children enjoyed climbing the trees and using their problem solving skills to work out how to get up and more importantly down from the tree!
Well done Paddington Class it was a great first session back!
