Year 5 – Irreversible Mixtures

In Science lessons we have been learning about reversible and irreversible mixtures. To test out a reversible mixture, we stirred salt into water and left in on the shelf in the classroom. After a couple of days, the water evaporated and left the salt in the containers. To test out an irreversible mixture, we made jelly. Once mixed together, you cannot separate the materials as they form a new substance. We enjoyed eating the jelly afterwards!
