Year 4 Lennon-McCartney – Science

This week we had a brilliant Science lesson investigating pitch. We created an experiment to test whether the size of a container which we wrapped an elastic band around made a difference to its pitch. We then had to listen really carefully and decide which containers made low pitches and which made high pitches. We were able to confidently conclude that the size of the container did not make a difference, but the size of the hole at the top of the container was causing the pitch to change.
