Happy Birthday Colonel Tom Moore

Good morning everyone,

I know you will be joining with me today in saying ‘Happy Birthday’ to Colonel Tom Moore who is 100 today. We have all been watching him complete the 100 laps of his garden which have resulted in him raising nearly £30,000,000 for the NHS Charities Together. As I have watched in awe at this achievement, I have thought many times of how he has demonstrated the values and personal attributes that we all have at SDS- determination, drive and perseverance to achieve the best we can. He has also shown modesty in his achievements and, although he didn’t want any reward for his hard work, he has been awarded with so many things. But the most important thing for Colonel Moore is that he has helped others- a true examples of selflessness.

Congratulations to him, but also congratulations to every child at SDS who is currently showing such determination, drive and perseverance.
