Lennon-McCartney – Planet description

Good morning Lennon-McCartney. I hope you are having a great week so far, another one going very quickly again! Today I wanted to share with you Keira’s setting description from Tuesday’s writing activity. I really enjoyed reading this because it was full of well-chosen adjectives and prepositions to tell me where things were. I could really visualise this planet as I was reading! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did:

Zargon 11 had lots of trees and plants of all sorts and sizes and vast rivers running far and wide. Surrounding the crystal clear water was a large landscape of free fields with scattered trees here and there. At the end of the calm, flowing river was a cascading waterfall falling into the river below. The flowers were as pretty as rainbows and smelt like the sweetest perfume. The sun was gleaming down on the countryside lighting it up with happiness. The sky was as clear as the ocean and didn’t have a single cloud in sight. The tiny blades of grass covered all of the planet, were an emerald green and smelt very fresh.

We are nearly at the end of our unit on aliens and I have loved reading your work so far – I am excited to see your plans for your persuasive adverts today!

Have a great day and don’t forget to go and enjoy the sunshine too!

Miss Vokes
