Good morning Year 3

It is such a shame that it is raining again.  Where has all that lovely summer sunshine gone? So, I have been wondering… once they have finished their work, what could year 3 do today?

Here are my suggestions:

Why not take part in the Northamptonshire Virtual School Games.  There is something for everyone- keepy uppies, tennis skills.  For those of you who like to exercise in the dry, why not look at the gymnastic challenge or have a go at perfecting your speed ounce on a safe floor inside?  There are several things to choose from and we will be competing against other schools in the town. Go Team SdS!

Or You could watch Mrs Phelps read an extract from Fantastic Beast by J K Rowling.

Can you, I wonder, complete my kindness challenge by helping someone without being asked?  Maybe you could tidy your room without being reminded.  Or you could play with your siblings whilst your mum or Dad have a bit of a rest.  Or… you could lay the table for tea.  Please let me know what act of kindness you choose to perform.

And finally, your English work today is to invent your very own mythical beast.  Find those colours and get creating.  Remember that mystical beasts can be a curious combination of more than one animal.  Label your pictures so I can see the different animals and understand the full power of your beast. Don’t forget to send me your pictures and let’s see what I share on the blog tomorrow.
