World Book Day!

What a fantastic World Book Day! Year 5 have had a really lovely day, starting with our Stay and Read Session. Thank you to all those parents who were able to make it – especially those who ended up reading with more than one child! Everyone looked brilliant dressed as their favourite book characters and it was great to see such a range of authors represented – from old favourites like Roald Dahl, to Cressida Cowell, JK Rowling and, of course, David Walliams . We ended the day by visiting Year 1 to share some of our favourite books and read together. Year 5 were absolutely amazing – a fantastic example of older children mentoring and encouraging the younger children at school.
