Year 1: Paddington: Stars of the Week

Happy Friday Paddington Class. These weeks and whizzing by but I am missing you all greatly. Although the weather this week has been a bit miserable, your emails have kept me very chirpy and I always have a huge smile on my face when I read them so a huge thanks to you and your families.

I must say this week I think has been the best week of home learning. I have received fantastic emails from many of you with your learning.

I was thrilled to see how many of you took up the stretch maths challenge and made a den to measure at home. I loved Jovan’s den which was inspired by Jurassic World. He made his den especially for his dinosaurs and measured it carefully. He even decorated his den with shadow drawings of his dinosaurs, WOW! Gracie made a den that fit 18 toys inside!!!! Sophia and her sister made a very cosy den that I think I could just curl up in and have a little sleep………

Your Maths, English and Reading work has been coming on in leaps and bounds. I have loved reading the sentences you have written and am pleased lots of you are remembering to use our everyday writers toolkit. Lots of you have been doing extra bits of learning at home as well. Frankie is learning how to be a first aider and has completed a task this week to learn about choking.

Ria’s family have been supporting the NHS by creating a beautiful piece of artwork using daisies.
