Singing Assembly!
Good morning everyone!
I haven’t posted one of these for a while, but today I’ve got a new song for you!
This is one that you will know and love. We often sing it in the KS2 choir. This is The Bare Necessities from the film The Jungle Book.

Here is a video of a lady singing the song for you to join in with. She even teaches you how to beat box! The track is then listed below for you to sing to with the lyrics. It’s a slightly different arrangement to the one that we are used to but it’s good to learn something new.
The Bare Necessities
Look for the bare necessities,
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife!
I mean the bare necessities,
Old Mother Nature’s recipes
That bring the bare necessities of life.
Wherever I wander, wherever I roam,
I couldn’t be fonder of my big home.
The bees are buzzing in the trees to make some honey just for me.
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
And maybe try a few,
The bare necessities of life will come to you!

That’s why a bear can rest at ease,
With just the bare necessities of life.
Now, when you pick a paw-paw, or a prickly pear
Then you prick a raw paw, next time beware!
Don’t pick a prickly pear by the paw,
When you pick a pear try to use the claw!
But you don’t need to use the claw when you pick a pear of the big paw-paw,
