An afternoon of life skills

This afternoon we have been very busy working on our life skills curriculum. The children were given lots of different fruits and vegetables to describe, sort, taste, chop and mash. They impressed us greatly with their cutting skills, taking care to follow our instructions and be safe. They went on to use the foods to create dinosaur collages!

We also worked hard in the garden, enjoying the beautiful sunshine that we are being blessed with once again. We brushed, dug, weeded, tidied, sorted and arranged things in the garden so that we can start to do more planting soon. We also had to fill the pond again and some of the children remembered our work on evaporation which was fabulous. Whilst in the garden, Mrs Davies found a friend – a lively, little frog! The children were amazed and I admired from a distance!
