Year 2: Ennis: Spelling

Good morning Ennis Class. We have had a fantastic week so far and I have been so impressed with how well you have been completing your learning in school. We have been working hard to write our journey stories based around ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. I have been very impressed with how everyone has innovated their story to create their own work and how you all have used the character toolkit to add description. Well done.

In Maths we have been learning to partition numbers in different ways. Yesterday, we used the dienes to show how we can split numbers into two parts by changing the tens e.g. 10+43=53, 20+33=53, 30+23=53

Lots of children have been working hard on their spellings at home, ready for a test every Friday in school. I have attached a picture to this blog which shows some fun ways for you to learn your spellings at home.

Miss Leatherland 🙂
