Year 3 Dahl- Christianity and Advent

In RE this term, we are learning about why Christians celebrate Christmas. Today, we learnt about the Advent Wreath and what this symbolises in Christianity. Using what we had learnt, we then created our own Advent Wreaths!

After, we produced an acrostic poem to show what the Advent Wreath symbolises. Can you remember the poem?

Week one is for hope

Rest as week two is peace

Excitement is coming with joy in three

And here is love inside week four

Time to celebrate the birth of Christ

Here is Christmas Day, hooray!
