Thou art as wise as thou art beautiful.

Well, what can I say? This week the children have really been getting to grips with our learning based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

We looked at some Shakespearean language from the comedy and imitated around the sentence “Thou art as wise as thou art beautiful” using different qualities that we listed.

Some examples – Thou art as adorable as thou art peaceful and thou art as menacing as thou art old.

We also sculpted each other into the positions we thought Titania would declare her love for Nick Bottom in the forest!

We have made our own sandwiches in life skills and enjoyed them for our snack. This enabled the children to practise their spreading skills and make choices about what filling to add to their sandwich.

Forest school was chilly but fun. The children helped to refill the flower beds ready for more planting, along with enjoying a water play challenge and making magic potions, like Oberon and Titania might use!

Such a busy and productive week. Well done to all the children in Wiggins and Robinson Class.
