Year 3 Dahl – The Quest

What an exciting week it has been in Dahl class! At the start of the week, a box arrived containing lots of different items. There was a crown, a purple crayon, a red crayon, a map and some illustrations. We tried to work out where the items had come from and who they might belong to. To help us, we looked through a picture book called The Quest in which two characters encountered a king in need of help. As there were no words in the book, we decided to write our own stories based on how the characters in the book went on a quest to help save the king.

Throughout the week, we have worked incredibly hard with planning, writing and publishing our stories. We also created some art work to go alongside out stories by carefully using our watercolour skills to paint a crown.

Everyone has worked so hard this week and should be hugely proud of themselves and the work they have produced. Our class display showcasing some of the writing has now been put up, and we are looking forward to sending home some of the writing next week for the children to share with people at home! Here are some photos from throughout the week.
