Mozart Class – The Amazon Rainforest

This term, the children in Year 4 have been learning all about the Amazon Rainforest. So far, they have learnt what rainforests are and where they are located, with this week’s focus being how rainforests benefit people.

Did you know…?

80% of the world’s diet originated from rainforest plants.

Nearly three-quarters of the plants that can actively fight diseases are found in the rainforest.

Millions of indigenous people have depended on the rainforests for their survival and have made livelihoods from its products.

The children discovered all of these fun facts and more in this week’s Geography lesson! They then watched an extremely fascinating video about all of the different species in the Amazon Rainforest; the children were extremely intrigued and, as I’m sure you can imagine, had so many questions they wanted to ask afterwards!

Keep up the fabulous engagement and learning Mozart.
