Science in Paddington Class

This term the children have been learning all about their senses.  Today we completed an experiment using our sense of smell.  We smelt some hidden objects, tried to guess what they were and described what we thought of them. The hidden objects were an onion, coffee, liquid soap, vinegar and lime juice.  Here are some of the comments made:

‘It smells like chips with salt and vinegar.’

‘I think it’s salty crisps.’

‘It smells like perfume.’

‘It’s disgusting, I think my daddy drinks it.’

‘I think it is cotton candy.’

‘It is delicious, like lemon and sugar on pancakes.’

You made some great predictions and could tell me which sense you were using, well done Paddington Class!
