Year 1 – Jubilee Celebrations!

We have had a brilliant afternoon celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. First we had a picnic on the field with the whole school and were surprised by a ‘special visit’ from ‘the queen’! Then we performed our song Reach by S Club 7 as part of the school concert.  All the children in Year 1 were amazing! There were a few nerves beforehand but we talked about changing this to excitement  and everyone sang and performed the actions we have learnt brilliantly! Well done Year 1 we are so proud of you all.

We also wrote letters to the queen this week to tell her about our concert and wish her lots of happiness as she celebrates.  Some children added illustrations to their letters, so these were copied and included too (the originals have been kept for our memories!).
