History in Mozart class

The children have had another fabulous week!

In history, we have been learning about the Vikings. The children really enjoy this topic, and this week we focused on what life was like for the Vikings. The children were shocked to find out that people lived in longhouses – one main room where the family ate, worked, played and slept. They did not have bathrooms, as their toilets were situated outside of the longhouse.

The children were also surprised to learn that children did not go to school, and instead helped out around the longhouse and on the farm.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Miss Robson
