Reception visit to a church

What a fabulous visit to the Abbey Centre Baptist Church we had today. We walked there and back and had to notice various landmarks along the way to help us with making a map of our journey tomorrow.

We looked around the church and had lots of fun looking for signs of the cross. They seemed to be everywhere! We also saw lots of candles, including the Advent candles. The  Reverend Sarah Bingham told us all about the enormous key that used to work in the lock of the old doors (from the old church in Far Cotton) and lots of other interesting information.

Everyone was impeccably behaved and a credit to our school. Well done Reception and a huge thank you to all our parent helpers.
