Designers in Paddington Class
Over the past few weeks we have been learning about different fruits and how we peel and slice them before we can eat them. We then explored different deserts that can be made with fruits and designed our own layered fruit desserts. Some children included cream, angel delight or jelly in there creations and many were topped with chocolate or colourful sprinkles. The children discussed who they thought might like the dessert they made and were creative in making up a name for the desert such as ‘The Christmas Snowy Mountain’, ‘Father Christmas’ sweet treat’ and ‘Cheeky Elves Treat’.
The children listened to instructions and then carefully sliced and peeled fruits. Then they helped whisk the angel delight and layered the fruits and toppings before tasting them. We then discussed what we liked about the desserts and how we might improve it if we were to make it again.
What a great way to end a fantastic term! Paddington Class have worked so hard all term in all areas of learning and performed amazingly in their Christmas Play, I am so proud of you all. I look forward to celebrating the end of term with you all at our party tomorrow, remember you don’t have to wear uniform tomorrow and please bring ‘party’ food’ in a named packed lunchbox.
