Year 6 Trip to Parliament and Westminster Abbey

Year 6 had an amazing day on Friday, visiting Westminster Abbey and The Houses of Parliament! It was an incredible experience, the children had the opportunity to go into Westminster Abbey and see the coronation chair, tombs and memorials of past monarchs and so much more. We visited parliament square gardens where we learnt about the important people who were remembered there – including Churchill and Mandela! The children were in awe of the houses of parliament, touring the House of Commons, House of Lords, public and private viewing galleries and even entering through the doors which only monarchs enter through!
