Brilliant first week back in Mozart class

We have had a great week in Mozart class! It was lovely to hear all about what the children did over the holidays, and it has been great to get straight back into our learning and start some new topics.

An exciting new project we have started is our Take One Picture project. This is organised by the National Art Gallery in London, where the children create a piece of artwork which responds to one of their famous paintings. This year, our painting is ‘Surprised!’ by Henri Rousseau. The children have really enjoyed exploring and analysing this work of art so far, and this afternoon we tried a new art technique which involves ‘taking our pencils for a walk’. We are all looking forward to continuing this project in the coming weeks!
