A Cup Stacking Challenge

The children engaged fabulously well with our cup stacking challenge this week. They were asked to build a tower in any way they wanted and we saw some rather creative ideas! I was particularly impressed with the resilience the children showed. They demonstrated determination and perseverance with the learning, having to rethink their designs when they fell down. Many of the children used great motor control to carefully balance the cups in different ways. I won’t pretend that they didn’t enjoy knocking each other’s towers over sometimes, but again, this was done in such a well-natured way that the children laughed and started again! Tidying up the hundreds of cups was also done in such a collaborative way. Great work Wiggins Class!
