Matilda- Easter Eggs

Here we are again, end of the term and two thirds through the year already! As I always say the children have been working so hard and I am extremely pleased with the progress they have made. Every child has given 100% and this is reflected in the work they have produced.

Matilda class have been very busy this week. We had a very special visitor, the mayor and mayoress of Northampton visited SDS to open our new outdoor classroom with a very large pair of scissors! Matilda class visited the new classroom and read a story together.

We had a great time in science, discovering which materials were waterproof and which were absorbent. The experiment did unfortunately mean that Paddington bear did get rather soggy!

We finished our DT unit on moving pictures and I know the children are very proud of their creations using sliders and split pins to bring their drawings to life!

We had a rather soggy egg hunt in the forest school today. The children had great fun searching for the eggs the easter bunny had hidden, although I’m not certain that we found them all!

It has been a great term and I look forward to Summer 1 very much. I hope that you all have a fantastic Easter holiday.
