Players – Character Development with Mr Wolmarans

Mr Leigh Wolmarans worked with the Players on how to use their voices, movement, body language and facial expressions to interpret a character. When you act the part of somebody else you are taking on a role. That role has personality traits, qualities and specific characteristics which form its character. Without successful characterisation you can’t embody the role and bring that person to life in a three-dimensional way.

The Players thoroughly enjoyed the session and will continue to work on the skills they learnt, practise staying in character at all times – Leigh tried hard to distract them – and make sure we are all disciplined to get the most out of our weekly sessions.

A BIG thank you to Leigh for creating excitement and enthusiasm, which will have a huge impact on our next performance!
