Year 1- Let’s get green fingers like Miss Morrison!

Miss Morrison’s Allotment

Hello Year 1, I hope you’re all enjoying half term. Have you been growing anything? I am sure you can guess what I have been up to.

I love this time of year, because the fruit flowers are beginning to decorate the allotment and it’s beautiful when you look closely! I have got my fingers crossed for a bumper fruit harvest this year. There are strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I will have raspberries coming later in the year.

You cannot see my strawberries yet because they will come from the delicate flowers you can see, so hopefully lots of strawberries next month. My blueberry plant is doing well, but I need to be careful because the birds like to eat them, so I must cover them with some netting to keep them away.
