Remembrance

This week, Year 6 have been studying poems by World War One poets including ‘In Flander’s Fields’ and ‘For the Fallen’ in preparation for our Remembrance Assembly next Friday morning.  This year is particularly important as it is the centenary of the end of WWI and the reason we commemorate those lost in wars on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Next, we will be writing our own poems on the theme of remembrance and producing some poppy artwork to illustrate our work.
