Wiggins – Humans!
This term Wiggins Class will be learning about humans in science. We started our work today by talking about our different body parts and I was very impressed by some of the labels the children could attach to a drawing of Thomas. We covered the basics, such as eyes, legs, shoulders but then looked a little closer. When we were talking about eyes, we went on to include new vocabulary like tear duct, pupil and iris.
This made me want to challenge the children even more! One by one they lay down so I could draw around them, each one trying hard not to giggle or move as I tickled around them with a pen. They have taken their outlines home so that they can label their body parts as part of a home learning task and we might then learn some more new vocabulary about the human body.
I can’t wait to see what they have found out!
