Thinking about the audience.
Today, Mandela class were given reading books… from the reception classes. We analysed what features the author had used and were surprised to find features from the descriptive toolkit hanging in our classroom! We found: noun phrases, power of 3, onomatopoeia, repetition and even some personification. As well as this, we noticed that the dialogue used all of the features that we include in our writing. The task – to write the same story for an audience of year 6s.
