Year 4 – Talk for Writing hook

Today, Year 4 were taken back in time to the Ancient Egyptians! We created our names from hieroglyphics, designed Egyptian collars and explored a range of artefacts items from the Egyptian times. We thought back to our cold writes where we wrote a story about going through a portal. We then had to decide what would happen if we went back in time through a portal to the Egyptian times. The artefacts gave us lots of inspiration for our portal objects! We are now very excited to find out about our new model text tomorrow – ‘Pharaoh Lane’.
