A slightly damp day in Senlis today but the Simon de Senlis spirit and resilience shone through. Mrs Rosevear said that behaviour in the cathedral was the most outstanding of any group she had taken on a residential. All of the children were really quiet and respectful, there were some wonderful questions asked and amazing sketches produced.
A real highlight of the trip so far has been the market visit where we all had the opportunity to try out our French to purchase various cheeses, grapes, strawberries, peaches, brownies, cookies, bananas, hot chicken and cheese pitta bread, spicy sausage and French pastries. These made for a delicious afternoon snack back at Poppies.
We are now having some down time playing pool, table tennis and table football. Some people are even having a shower…
Dinner next. Au revoir from Albert.
