Year 6

Back at school, Year 6 have had a productive couple of days. On Wednesday, the children went to Tesco to buy French food based on their research the day before. After returning to school, it was time to taste it. The food included: bread, cheeses, meat, french toast and macarons.

In the afternoon, Mr Williams came into speak to the children about a soldier who was awarded the Victoria Cross during WW1. The group listened well and shared their WW1 knowledge.

Today’s activities were baking and painting. The children split into 4 groups and they worked together to produce some treats to sell tomorrow afternoon. Some even washed up!

The rest of the morning was spent putting the finishing touches to their shoebox trenches.
