Year 5 Dyson – Methods in Maths
Today in maths we were given a set of calculations and had to sort them by the methods we would use to solve them. For instance, a calculation such as 176-40 could be done mentally whereas a calculation such as 815-278 would require a formal written method. We discussed our ideas in small groups. How would you solve these calculations?
