Year 5 – The Gas Mark

Year 5 entered the school hall and were immediately intrigued by the band music playing and the objects stacked around an old suitcase. Ms James rummaged in the boxes and found a lantern, chamber pot, letters, medals, clothing and many more interesting objects. We carefully inspected each one and shared our thoughts about them. Ms James and Mrs Amos cautiously opened the suitcase to find a small, leather box and inside there was a gas mask – everyone agreed that the objects must have been used during a war! We now want to know who they belonged too!
