Year One Matilda: What a busy week!

We have been SO busy in Year One this week!

In English we have been learning all about how to write instructions. We made some delicious Turnip soup on Tuesday, which most of the children loved! We have been learning about all the different features we need to include in our instruction writing.

In Maths we have been problem solving and looking at place value. The children are getting very good at working out how many tens and units are in a number!

This afternoon Matilda class learned all about Remembrance day. We talked about the symbol of a poppy and its meaning and then we each carefully created our own poppy to remember the soldiers that fought for us in the war.

Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday for another fun week of learning!
