Year 1: A mysterious visitor

Year 1 were completing their spelling test when there was a strange knock on the door. The children went to the door but nobody was there. When we looked further into the corridor, we noticed that a witch had left cobwebs, spiders, bats and parts of her clothing all over the Year 1 area! Shocked and confused, we read a note from the witch explaining she had kidnapped the Gruffalo, who we have been writing about, and that she will release him when we change our story to be all about her. As quick as a flash, the children came back into the classroom and have now began to change their story to be about the evil wicked witch.
