Incredible drama work

This week the children have been learning more about the characters and plot from The Merchant of Venice. We have looked closely at some of the characters and explored their feelings in a number of scenes from the play. After lots of discussions, we sculpted each other to reflect how the characters may have felt, using our whole body to show these emotions. It was a fabulous speech and language session too, with the children having to give and receive very detailed instructions to each other.

The children are enjoying the story and trying hard to learn the Shakespearean language too. I continue to be impressed by them!
