Year 2 Ennis – Explorer Morning!

This term in our History lessons, we have been learning about Neil Armstrong and Christopher Columbus.
This morning we became Great Explorers like the men themselves! First, we made ourselves an explorer hat, which we decorated brightly. Then we did a number of activities to become better explorers. We designed our own treasure maps using a map of the school grounds, made a rocket or a boat out of lego, made a paper cup boat which we will test on the water and finally we used the Beebots to develop our knowledge of position and direction, directing the BeeBot to the correct location.

We had a great morning and took lots of notes about our morning because later on this week we will be writing our very own explorer diary entry for our Hot Write.

What a fun morning we had!
