World Book Day 2020!

This year, we are excited once again to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Our theme for this year at Simon de Senlis is ‘Bedtime Stories’

We know how important it is to share a book together and research has shown that sharing a book before bed can develop language, encourage positive sleep and boost brain development.

We are encouraging all children and adults to come dressed in their pyjamas/bed clothes this year, instead of your favourite book character. You can also bring in your favourite bedtime story/book to share with your class in the afternoon. During the afternoon we will also be sharing a book with another class which is a tradition that we have followed for many years that is enjoyable for all.

From 2.45 – 3.15 parents can come and join us to share a book for our Stay and Read session.

We are really looking forward to World Book Day this year and hope that you can join in with our theme and join us for our Stay and Read session.
