Year 6 Geography- Global Trade

Our third lesson learning about Global Trade and the children are now confident in the terms- export, import, trade, product, consumables and consumer. We have really enjoyed reading documents informing us on the UK’s top trading partners around the world and the amount of revenue that trade brings to the country and to businesses. Did you know that in 2018, the UK exported £33.3bn worth of cars around the world? Did you also know that in 2018 the UK’s top trading partner was the USA with a total trade of £190.5bn? Next week we will begin to learn more about Fairtrade.
