Good morning Year 4

Good morning Year 4,

I hope you are all ok and have had a great week so far. It was lovely to see you all on Monday for the end of year picnic! We have been quite lucky with the weather again this week which has been nice. How have you been enjoying the sunshine?

I had some visitors in my garden this week. We are doing some work in our garden and when we pulled up the old decking, we found three frogs beneath it! I only managed to get a photo of one of them though as they were much quicker than me and hopped away before I could take a picture!

Your home learning for today is ready on your OneNote pages. For your English task, you will be using your proof-reading skills to re-read your stories and check they make sense. You will then need to put your teacher hat on to identify where you have used a range of features in your writing, including fronted adverbials, adjectives and conjunctions. In Reading, you will be reading a non-fiction text about the dangers of Amazon Rainforest and make connections between the children’s situation in the story and your knowledge of real Amazon Rainforest. Finally, your maths task involves using your calculation skills and growth mindset to answer a problem solving activity.

Have a great day everyone!

Miss Harris
