Year 6 – Could you Write a Persuasive Speech?

We have been working on our persuasive writing techniques and today we were given the challenge of writing a speech to persuade the wider community that Simon de Senlis is the best school in Northampton. We watched the school’s virtual tour video and discussed all the wonderful opportunities and experiences available at our school. Here are some of the children’s comments: we have high expectations, lots of clubs, performance opportunities in real theatres, supportive and kind teachers, swimming lessons, charity events, fun and exciting topics, we are a Microsoft school and we all have Office 365 accounts and so much more.  We had lots to discuss and really enjoyed reflecting and talking about our school and what it  has to offer us all.

We have planned each paragraph and tomorrow we will start writing.
