Matilda pumpkin competition and pictures

After talking about it all week, today was the day when the children finally got to bring in their pumpkins or pumpkin pictures. Mrs French, Mrs Preston and I were blown away with all of the children’s hard work and amazing pumpkin ideas. They have certainly given me some great ideas for when I carve my pumpkin at home.

Every child shared their pumpkin with the class and discussed confidently and clearly what they had made and why. The adults started to panic because how on earth could we choose a winner when every design was sooooo good!

After careful deliberation, we announced that Ella-May had won the pumpkin competition. The class erupted with cheers and children congratulating her. What a fabulous team we are!

Thank you Matilda class for being so enthusiastic and happy for our winner. It’s tough to not win sometimes but you are all winners in my eyes. All children then received their special pumpkin sticker and a well deserved certificate.

Thank you to our wonderful parents for taking part in the fun too. We really do appreciate all of your hard work!
