Year 2 Ennis Writing Instructions

This term we have been learning how to write effective instructions. We began by learning a model text on how to trap a troll. This was great fun and we came up with some very inventive ideas on how we could create these instructions. We then received breaking news that the troll had been trapped but that a dragon had escaped from a cave. The children have been working hard this week to create two different sets of instructions. How to control Edgar’s fire or How to care for Edgar.

I am very impressed with their writing so far and can’t wait for their independent work next week where they will change the instructions one more time.
