Year 4 Lennon-McCartney – Welcome back!

Hello Lennon-McCartney class!

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy New Year! I know things were quite different this year and we weren’t able to see as many people as we might usually have done but I still hope you were able to enjoy yourself and have a good break. I am really looking forward to hearing about what you did, as soon as we are able to return back to school. For now, we are back to learning online! Today, your work is set on our class Teams page under the ‘1st Day Work’ channel. You will find an assignment just like when you do your Key Skills at home so you should be great at finding these now. Your page will open in the Class Notebook and on today’s work, you will find an English, Reading, Maths, Spelling and PE activity to complete. These are first day tasks and will be great for practicing some of your skills from last term. Don’t forget to go back to the Teams page to press ‘hand in’ when you have finished your work!

Let me know if you have any problems getting onto the work and I will do my best to help you.

For the rest of the week, you will be set individual assignments for each of your subjects – Reading, Writing, Maths, Spelling, PE and a Wider Curriculum subject such as History, PSHE or Science. These should be on your Teams page in the channels at the side which are titled with each subject. I will remind you of how to do this on tomorrow’s blog so don’t forget to check in!

I will also be posting videos of me reading your new Class Reader – it is one of my favourite Michael Morpurgo books – ‘Why the Whales Came’ and I am sure you will all enjoy listening to it too. I got some lovely books at Christmas which I am excited to share with you when we return to school.

Finally, I just wanted to remind you that I am still here to help you, even if we are all working at home! You are all brilliant, resilient learners and I know you will be just brilliant at this online learning too! Have a great day!
