Year 5 – Science

Hello Everyone,

The weather is perfect for exploring ice at the moment, in Science this term we are learning all about the different states of matter:

• solids, liquids and gases.

Why not get outside and look closely at the ice, how it has formed the shape that it has taken and what happens as it begins to thaw out and returns to a liquid state.

These ice ornaments make the perfect opportunity for you to view the changes that happen as the water freezes and again as it melts.

They are also really fun to make! I would love to see your photos if you have a go!
