Year 3 – A fabulous week!

Hello Year 3!

Today brings another week to a close and what another fabulous week we have had!

Mrs Davies and I have enjoyed our morning meetings this week and spending the morning reflecting on our learning and sharing what a good one looks like. We’ve also been sharing your work for the day and answering all of your burning questions!

The week started with snow but has ended with some sunshine today which has been wonderful. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but the days are definitely getting longer and its been nice see that its getting lighter at the end of the day.

This week we’ve been innovating on our model text and shared writing ‘How the Elephant got his Trunk’. In maths we’ve still been working on our 8 times table but moving to division and identifying the inverse of a calculation. We’ve learnt more about the Romans and Rocks in History and Science and ended the week in PSHE saying ‘Thank you’ to someone in our community. We’ve been super impressed with all of your learning this week and can’t wait for another brilliant week next week.

Mr Howley and Mrs Wood will be with you next week completing your morning meetings so I’m sure you’ll be looking forward to seeing them. Mrs Davies is filming your Class Reader videos for you for next week as I type this and we’re almost at the end of the book! I’ve loved reading the Queen’s Nose to you and hope you’ve enjoyed reading it too. I’ve just been ordering our next book and it’s another brilliant book. I won’t reveal it yet!

Have a fantastic week Year 3, get outside and enjoy the weather, spending time with your families. My weather app has forecast more snow for the weekend…yippee!
