Year 6 have just completed a two week unit on short burst writing. This provides an opportunity to really focus on vocabulary- every word must earn its place. Mostly using the medium of poetry, it allows writers to explore language, the senses, personification, metaphors and many more without being constrained by the rules of grammar. We have been astounded by the quality of the work produced. Click on the sway link below where you can see the children’s own poetry written in the style of William Blake’s famous Tyger, Tyger poem. Well done to everyone. We are looking forward to using all our talents for the next unit on suspense after half term.
